在当今市场和经济形势下,翻译与本地化行业将如何更好的服务全球化企业,加速其实施全球化战略?语言服务供应商又将如何完善自我,在服务中同时实现自身价值?

2009年4月23日至24日,中国翻译协会将在中国第一个经济特区――深圳市举办“中国(国际)企业全球化高峰论坛暨2009中国(国际)翻译产业论坛”,为已经或有意在中国落户的跨国企业和已经或打算走出去的中国企业提供一个主流平台,与政府主管部门领导、全球知名企业高管、优秀的翻译与本地化服务机构负责人进行高端对话、行业交流以及供需对接。

本次论坛将邀请国内外企业界、市场调研机构、翻译与本地化产业界及相关行业的重要代表和知名人士,围绕“翻译与本地化:企业全球化的助推器”这一主题进行探讨,并就翻译与本地化产业的规范与品牌建设等议题进行交流。论坛还将邀请中央和地方主流电视、平面和网络媒体对论坛和参会企业进行广泛深入的报道。

China(International) Summit on Business Globalization

& 2009 China (International) Translation Industry Forum

Theme of the Forum:

Translation and Localization: A Driving Force for Business Globalization

With the increasing globalization of the economy and the market, more and more businesses are casting their eyes on international markets, and are actively exploring and implementing globalization strategies. Amid this development, the translation and localization industry is becoming a driving force for globalization by assisting businesses to overcome linguistic, cultural and technical barriers.

How can the translation and localization industry better help businesses to speed up their globalization efforts in the current market and economic conditions, while at the same time raising its own profile through quality services?

The China (International) Summit on Business Globalization & 2009 China International Translation Industry Forum, to be held in Shenzhen, China on 23-24, 2009, tries to help answer these questions. The forum will be hosted by the Translators Association of China and the Translators Association of Shenzhen. It aims to provide a platform for transnational corporations with branches in China or planning to enter China, as well as Chinese corporations having or planning to have an international presence, to engage in high-level dialogues and direct business communication with government authorities, executives of the “giants” in the business world and quality translation and localization service providers.

Representatives from the business world, market research institutions, translation and localization service providers and representatives of related industries both at home and abroad will be invited to the Forum to share their views on this significant yet often-overlooked aspect of globalization. Issues such as regulation of the translation and localization industry, and branding strategies will also be discussed. The print media, Internet providers and television stations at both the national and local levels will be invited to cover the event.
