「抽象思维」是运用逻辑、思想和分析,解释事物间的关系,将具体的情况归纳为可普遍应用的概念,强调思考而不是感觉。你可以在阅读书本知识时作出分析,也可以对经验作出整理。在沟通的活动中,你可能留意到当你与对方的距离是十分接近时,对方会自觉或不自觉地退后,面上露出尴尬的表情,注意力也不集中在沟通的内容上;由此你分析这些「独立」的行为的关系,再推论到一概念──适当的身体距离才会有助沟通的。这样的思考,便是抽象思维的显现。
"abstract thinking" is using logic, thought and analysis to interprete the relationship between things to summarize the specific situation as universally applied concept, stressing thinking rather than feeling. You can make an analysis when reading a book, or form a concept from experience. You may notice that when you are getting close to someone when communicating with others, the other side will, consciously or unconsciously, draw back, with awkward expression on his/her face and his/her attention away from the content of the communication; thus you will analyse the relationship between the "independent" behaviours and reach a concept – only an appropriate physical distance will help communication. Such thinking is seen as abstract thinking.
