作为一个从业多年的翻译工作者，浏览英文网页已经成了一种习惯。最近，偶尔打开了《中国扬州》网站的英文版面，虽然整体外观还算比较清新，但仅仅扫视短短数个标题，满眼啼笑皆非的英文表达就让人感觉如骨鲠在喉，不吐不快。如果说只是一个企业的网站，倒也罢了，（顺便说一下，扬州大多数企业的英文网页似乎都只当成一个摆设，说“错误百出”一点也不过分，非但没有美化自己，反而损坏了企业的形象），可对于一个所谓的“门户网站”——城市形象工程，让人痛心不已。
